Meet Ian

Meet Ian (Ian is a real person). Ian is skeptical. Ian is doubtful. Ian is in business. Ian sees someone who has faith and says, "It is only a phase. You'll pass through it. My brother went through the same thing. And he passed through it. They all pass through it. It doesn't last. It's just a phase. Just a phase, I tell you!"

Now Ian has a problem. Because Ian is not going to heaven. And deep inside, Ian knows it.

Ian's problem is not with you.

It's with God.

God is convicting Ian.

But Ian can't seem to see it.

All he can see are "nuisances" like you who have faith.

Ian's only way to "solve" his problem is to explain it away as a fad -- a passing fad, something that won't last, something that couldn't last, something that had BETTER NOT LAST!

Because if it DID last ... then Ian would be in trouble. BIG trouble.

If Ian's right, then he's okay. But if Ian is wrong, then he is in really BIG trouble -- because Ian has not been paying attention at all to things that matter -- things of the next life, things that pertain to God, things that pertain to Jesus Christ, his ultimate Judge, who will one day judge the living and the dead (Acts 17:31).

Ian needs help. Pray for Ian. Keep praying for Ian.

May the "Ian" in your life be blessed as you continue to persevere for him in prayer, as often as God brings him to your mind.

"Because [God] hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by [that] man [Jesus] whom he hath ordained; [whereof] he hath given assurance unto all [men], in that he hath raised him from the dead." (Acts 17:31)
