Canadian Support For President Bush and War Against Terrorism
Canadian Support For President Bush and War Against Terrorism By Daniel Parkes April 3, 2003President Bush said, "Whoever is not with us, is against us!"
The Canadian government, however, decided not to support the Bush government when they decided to send troops into Iraq.
Canadians everywhere believe that the Canadian government erred in their decision not to send troops into Iraq or to support the American Government.
Paul Cellucci, US Ambassador to Canada, said, in late March, to the effect, "If Canada was in trouble, the US would not hesitate to help out." He was very diplomatic in his speech, and carefully chose his words, which suggested continued friendship with Canada but a disappointment in the Canadian government's decision not to support the war against terrorism in Iraq.
Many Canadians agree with these sentiments expressed by Paul Cellucci.
There was recently a quickly organized rally on Parliament hill in Canada to show support for the Bush Government and the American troops. An estimated up to 5000 people showed up. It was a peaceful rally.
At least one government official in Canada has suggested or said that Paul Cellucci should be deported for his comments.
Many Americans are very disappointed in Canada's official decision not to send troops into Iraq or to support the American led war against terrorism in Iraq.
It is reported that some Americans, in fact, are refusing to do business with Canadians on account of Canada's public stance.
FACT: Americans are laying down their lives to bring freedom to the devastated country of Iraq.
FACT: Americans are showing respect for Iraq by bringing in humanitarian aid. George Bush is to be highly thanked and praised for this.
FACT: Jesus said, "He that is not with me is against me". (Matthew 12:30)
FACT: Anyone who is not for Jesus will suffer repercussions in the end.
FACT: Jesus does not like killing. However, the Bible clearly reveals that sin will bring judgment upon any nation and that God does use one nation against another in order to bring about his judgment against a nation that has gone astray.
FACT: In the midst of his judgment, God still shows mercy because he says it in his word, "Mercy triumphs over judgment". Clearly, this statement does not mean that God does not judge, but that, wherever possible, mercy is to be preferred, and even in the midst of judgment, that mercy is to be exercised.
FACT: George Bush is obedient to God's directive.
FACT: It is folly to assume that Saddam Hussein, who has been credited with being responsibile for killing about two million of his own people, is "open to discussion".
FACT: There is a day of jugdment coming for us all. God's words says, "It is appointment unto man once to die, and then the judgment" (Hebrews 9:27).
FACT: We are subject to being judged by God "at the judgment" as well as here on earth.
FACT: No one is exempt!
FACT: Salvation is found in no other except Jesus! "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." (Acts 4:12)
FACT: Faith in Christ brings a rescue from God's judgment. The judgment which is deserved us is "imputed" (put) upon Christ, who took our judgment for us at the cross.
FACT: To be saved from God's judgment, and to obtain eternal life, one needs to surrender their lives to Christ right now (tomorrow may be too late). By "surrender" you must acknowledge that you are a sinner deserving of God's judgment, accept the fact that Jesus took your place on the cross, repent of the fact that you have offended God, and accept God's free gift of eternal life which is found only by trusting in what Jesus did for you on the cross. God will then forgive you, and send his Holy Spirit to help you live a new life, based on the complete pardon that you have just received from God. You must then live for God and not for man, because your life belongs to God – "For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's." (1 Corinthians 6:20)
FACT: Those who have not received God's Holy Spirit will not go to heaven. They are subject to eternal damnation. "Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his." (Romans 8:9b) "He that hath the Son hath the life; he that hath not the Son of God hath not the life." (1 John 5:12)
FACT: Those who are fighting in this war for reasons of righteousness and with a pure heart will be rewarded by God, whether in this life or the next.
FACT: No one who fights in a war fights in a war to win for themselves. But rather they fight in a war to win for the one whom they are serving.
FACT: George Bush is a servant of Jesus Christ.
FACT: George Bush is just as grieved by the loss of human life as anyone is. It is to RESCUE lives that he is fighting this war – not to see them condemned.
FACT: Jesus said "For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved." (John 3:17)
FACT: Jesus realized that while it was his mission to see lives saved and rescued, that there would be times when fighting to defend the cause of righteousness would be appropriate. "For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law." (Matthew 10:35)
FACT: It is still true that God loves all people and desires for them to be saved! "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." (2 Peter 3:9)
FACT: Those who are taking a stand NOT to support the US led war against terrorism for any reason OTHER than righteousness will suffer loss, based on the biblical injunction that you cannot "sit on the fence and remain neutral". "He that is not with me is against me". (Matthew 12:30)
FACT: A January 23, 2003 report on CNN reports George Bush on record as saying that he 'vowed ... "to protect the lives of innocent children waiting to be born" and said his administration would promote "compassionate alternatives" to abortion."'
FACT: George Bush is a man of his word and is taking steps to see his vow come true.
FACT: George Bush is not afraid to fight for what is right.
FACT: Americans who fight for reasons of righteousness and maintain a good and righteous attitude will be blessed in the end.
To show support for Americans and their commitment and sacrifice that they are continuing to make, Lowell Green, a very popular (and often controversial) radio announcer in Ottawa, Canada's capital, has made a special recording which shows support for America which was aired recently on his morning talk show to an estimated tens of thousands of people reaching into the States and other provinces in Canada. This recording is available TODAY by clicking on:

"Lowell Green's The American's Part 2".

Yes, Canadians DO support the American led war against terrorism in Iraq. An estimated eighteen thousand cheering fans during the playing of the American National Anthem recently in Canada at a hockey game demonstrates that clearly!
God bless you America. God RECOGNIZES your sacrifice and will reward you accordingly. Keep a humble and pure heart at all times, and forgive your neighbor's to the North for their non-participation.
